Edit the Pricing Entry for a Menu Item

Use this procedure to edit the Primary Menu Pricing value and the Alternate Pricing where available for each individual flavor of item. To set all pricing at once, use the Menu-Wide Pricing button.

  1. On the Menu Templates screen, open the menu template that contains the menu item you want to edit.

  2. On the Menu Template Detail screen, locate the menu item that you want to edit.

  3. In the row for the menu item, click .

  4. Select the Pricing Entry tab. [Show image.][Hide image.]

    The Pricing Entry tab gives you access to the following information:

    Column Name Description
    Department The department that this menu item belongs to.
    Core/Optional

    Identifies if this is a Core menu item, an Optional menu item, or both.

    • Core – part of the national offerings of products and ingredients.

    • Optional – product or ingredient that can be offered by individual franchisees.
    Standard Recommended Pricing The standard recommended price set for this menu item.
    Primary Menu Pricing The primary menu price for this menu item.
    Alternate Recommended Pricing An alternative recommended price set for this menu item.
    Alternative Pricing

    The alternative price for this menu item. For example, if your restaurant offers third party delivery (3PD) this price set would be applied to all delivery orders.

  5. Enter the Primary Menu Pricing value you want for the menu item, only if you want this price in your restaurants to be different from the standard recommended price.

  6. Enter the Alternative Pricing value you want for the menu item, only if you want this price in your restaurants to be different from the alternative recommended price.

  7. Click Save.
